HIGHLIGHTS

FYiP: 12 Original Stories, 7 Countries (1–10 September)

This September, ITI welcomed back the arts community to the studios for the graduating cohort’s original performances, as part of the Final Year Individual Project (FYiP). The FYiP is student-driven and combines the technical skills and objectives of performance making with the exploratory freedom of a creative platform.

"All the actors were incredible — the control over their bodies is truly amazing."
~ Ishana Prakash

"It’s always a great pleasure to watch ITI students’ performances, they have a great presence on stage and are very creative."
~ Leela Alaniz

Engaging with the Community through Online Q & A

ITI had its first ever Ask Me Anything (AMA) series, involving the graduating cohort as well as ITI faculty member and alumnus Andy Ng Wai-shek (‘03).

The online community posed a variety of questions — such as training in ITI, memorable experiences as a cohort and what contemporary actors should equip themselves with while working in the field.

Sharing Expertise through Masterclasses

This July to August, faculty member Guillermo Angelelli led members of the Singapore arts community in masterclasses on creative process and clowning. The workshops were joined by practising artists, educators and actor-students.

"It was an eye opener, and Guillermo's input is very customised and detailed."
