2018 ACTING BOOTCAMP:  ACTING 101
Have you always wondered about acting class but never got the courage to go?  Or have you decided that making faces and pretending to express emotions is just not feeling quite right?

Then this class is for you.  We have taught over 400 students like yourselves to be more confident, use their body, voice, and mind to create believable characters and compelling scenes.

This class highlights quick and powerful ways to make your performance more natural and spontaneous. Students will work with ensemble building games, script analysis, and scene study. No experience is necessary.  It's a great start for the beginning actor!

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to acting training, so we will give you some of the most well-known tools from the master teachers.  The LAB's acting techniques are based on Strasberg, Adler, Hagen, Chekhov & the Stanislavsky Techniques.  When you finish the workshop, you will have your own UTILITY POCKET of techniques and tools that you can use when approaching a role or a scene, whether it be for film, television, or theater.

Through this workshop, you will:

* Work with ensemble building games, script analysis, and scene study

*      Learn to control your body, arms, and feet and answer the question "how should I move?"

* Discover tools to present confidence, poise, power and control.

Over 3 Sundays in March, we will explore what makes a great actor and a great performance

There will be group and individual exercises, as well as individualized coaching. No acting experience? No problem! Just bring your passion and your inquisitive mind! The three week course culminates in a public presentation of the scenes worked on during the course of the workshop open to family, friends, and industry professionals.
