Historical Links;
The first ever grand Gītā Jayanti was held in Singapore in 1998, where it has become an annual event coordinated by the Singapore Hindu Endowments Board and led each year by a different leading Indian Cultural or Spiritual Organization - this year (2010-2011) it is led by the Singapore Gujarati Society. Their official website is www.gitajayanti.org.sg
As the founder of the project, and Honorary Secretary for the organizing committee of that first event, I wrote an article for the souvenir magazine - www.tiny.cc/gj98sg-magazine
