The situation in the valley deteriorated after 2015 which witnessed the youth getting involved in stone pelting activities and open protests against the govt and Armed Forces. To dissuade the youth from such activities, various options were thought. One such activity being constructive involvement of youth under a skill development program, which will not only engage them fruitfully but will also provide them employment avenues both inside and outside of the valley.

These successes were the result of collaborative hard work and commitment from all involved parties.
