Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests
If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

Uncontroversial technical requests
- Cajeput oil → Cajuput oil (currently a redirect back to Cajeput oil) (move · discuss) – Article was moved from Cajuput to Cajeput in 2014: "Sphilbrick moved page Cajuput oil to Cajeput oil over redirect: predominant spelling". However Wiktionary has "cajuput" as the main listing and "cajeput" as an alternative form. Matt Gies (talk) 17:19, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
- Ayushmann Khuranna filmography (currently a redirect to Ayushmann Khurrana filmography) → Ayushmann Khurrana filmography (move · discuss) – Match list title with the main article (Ayushmann Khurrana). Gotitbro (talk) 20:25, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
- UKUI (desktop environment) (currently a redirect to UKUI) → UKUI (move · discuss) – No need for unnecessary disambiguation with parenthesis if there is no other page with the same name. Broc (talk) 21:03, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
- Terribly Sorry Bob(album) is invalid. Must create Terribly Sorry Bob(album) before requesting that it be moved to Terribly Sorry Bob (album).– Incorrect spacing prior to disambiguator, needs a pagemover to move without leaving a redirect as the leftover would otherwise be eligible for WP:X3, should not be X3'd directly because a redirect with the correct spacing does not yet exist hence this request. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:95B3:1631:747A:2941 (talk) 21:58, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
- The Ballad of Abu Ghraib(book) is invalid. Must create The Ballad of Abu Ghraib(book) before requesting that it be moved to The Ballad of Abu Ghraib (book).– Incorrect spacing prior to disambiguator, needs a pagemover to move without leaving a redirect as the leftover would otherwise be eligible for WP:X3, not eligible for X3 directly due to both the non-trivial history and because a redirect with the correct spacing does not yet exist. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:95B3:1631:747A:2941 (talk) 22:04, 4 May 2024 (UTC)

Contested technical requests
- Airtel Bangladesh → Airtel (Bangladesh) (currently a redirect back to Airtel Bangladesh) (move · discuss) – Airtel Bangladesh was a independent company till 2016. At now Airtel is a licensed brand of Robi Axiata Ltd. So it should be moved on the proposd title. ~ Farhan Snigdho (message) 06:16, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- This move doesn't seem necessary to me, per WP:NATURALDIS and WP:TITLECON - all other entries at Category:Bharti Airtel are of the form Airtel <NameOfCountry>... Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 11:20, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- In other entries Airtel is an independent brand but in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka it is a brand of Axiata where 'Airtel' is a licensed brand name from Bharti Airtel. ~ Farhan Snigdho (message) 04:13, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Farhansnigdho It appears this needs further discussion. If you with to proceed, please click on the "discuss" link in your request above to open a discussion on the page's talk page. --Ahecht (TALK

- Uncle Tom's Cabin (1910 film) (currently a redirect to Uncle Tom's Cabin (disambiguation)) → Uncle Tom's Cabin (1910 Thanhouser film) (move · discuss) – Current title is ambiguous. Distinguishment is needed. There were two films of that title in 1910. Santiago Claudio (talk) 08:56, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Santiago Claudio, is there an article for the other 1910 film? – robertsky (talk) 14:37, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
- See Uncle Tom's Cabin (1910 Vitagraph film). 162 etc. (talk) 19:48, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
