Mark your calendars for CVCOA's Creative Aging Celebration on June 2nd, 2023! Experience artwork by older adult artists in Central Vermont and participate in fun live workshops. Donate directly on this page to support creative aging in Central Vermont.

The Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA) is excited to host our second annual Creative Aging Celebration at the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier!

This community event is free and open to the public as part of Montpelier's June Art Walk - no ticket required! If you do grab a ticket on this page you'll receive reminders, updates, and notices related to this event and the live workshops.

This event will showcase artwork from our Creative Care Kit program participants, as well as additional artwork by older adults from Central Vermont communities. Attendees can also participate in live workshops on a variety of creative topics throughout the afternoon and early evening (full schedule below!).

Donations are greatly appreciated to support CVCOA's Enhancing Social Connection through Arts and Technology program. Sponsorships are also available to help sustain this program and free community event. Donate directly on this page for a secure and easy online donation! Checks can be mailed to CVCOA at 59 N. Main Street, Suite 200, Barre, VT 05641.

Funds raised during these events will support CVCOA's Creative Aging Initiative. The purpose of this initiative is to provide creative aging opportunities for older adults in the community, including homebound older adults. The Creative Care Kit project was the first project for this initiative, and continues to provide skills-based, practice-focused, and social-centric opportunities for people in their homes. CVCOA is also looking at additional programs and projects for the initiative, and ways that we can continue supporting creative aging as an integral component of healthy aging.
