I removed Avior because there are already many 200–300 R☉ stars in the list and added Dubhe intsead, to represent Big Dipper Tags: Mobile edit Mobile web edit Advanced mobile edit

I think that the "well-known/notable stars" list is already good enough, being not bloated with a lot of examples. The preview is not working so there may have some errors. (2010), another unreliable reference that has a lot of questionable size estimates (541 R☉ Mira, 826 R☉ CW Leonis, 853 R☉ VX Sagittarii, 1,342 R☉ IRC+10420, up to ~1900 R☉ Betelgeuse). Definitively not a reliable source Tags: Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit Advanced mobile edit

It is a likely Mira variable (according to GCVS) and has not been stated to be a red supergiant as far as I know. It also uses low resolution spectra and likely doesn’t have a well-modelled dust cloud and also has an extremely high distance compared to the noiseless photogeometric one calculated by Bailer-Jones et al. (2021).

The parallax cited is 1.0±0.11 milliarcseconds for reference. Tags: Undo Reverted Mobile edit Mobile web edit Advanced mobile edit
